Does anyone else get irked whenever they see someone shamelessly advertise their fic and when they click it, expecting something… all they get is just a Foreword & Description consisting of one-liners and quotes along with credits? Because I don’t get people who do that. I at least put up a chapter if I’m declaring it to the world and ask them to check it out. Maybe they’re relying on the Foreword and Description alone to reel in subscribers. I need more to work with. Am I alone in this?

There are MANY underage readers on aff nowadays. It’s actually quite acceptable that sixteen year olds read smut and write smut because they’re pretty mature. But knowing about eleven year olds doing it makes me wonder if they actually understand the whole concept of smut and other sexual activities.

I understand that graphic artists work hard on providing posters for writers such as myself, but if they’re going to disregard all of my suggestions on what photo, color scheme, etc to work with, should they really get upset at me for not using it?

Anonymous asked: wow in response to "the subscribers-only button is useless", that button actually is quite useful, but almost everyone is narrow minded enough to think that all authors use it to get subscribers, wow guess what? Not all of them do it for the subs. Sometimes, authors just want to limit the amount of people reading it, or use it as a warning because the content inside the fanfic is not suited for everyone especially rated m fics, so think logically before whining please thanks

Anonymous asked: To the anon that replied to a confession about review shop: WOW! How ironic! "And as far as I'm concerned, all reviewers would state their TRUE opinions, because that's what their supposed to DO' Really? THEIR? You mean they're, right? God, this is why I stopped requesting from review shops because mostly, THEIR grammar sucks!

It’s sad and disappointing how some authors delete their Kris stories or replace his character just because he is ‘leaving exo’. To think that some of them are really great.

Am I the only one that thinks posters are kinda overrated? Most of them are a bit overdone in my opinion, plus I find it weird that they’re apparently so important to gain readers. Whatever happened to catching people’s attention with a good summary?

I think having your stories as subscriber’s only is pointless. I am relieved that AFF now has the option of letting you see a preview because to be real, your story isn’t that great to begin with to be worth subscribing to.

During my free time, i like to ‘hunt’ for good authors regardless the fandom. i’ll scan through their works and ‘subscribe author’ if they are good enough. but then, i never read their works and i feel bad about it.

Anonymous asked: In reply to: "I hate reviewshops. Like they think they have this kind of power to say this and that and blah and blah." it's not their fault that you requested. Why would you even request in the first place if you can't accept criticism? And as far as I'm concerned, all reviewers would state their TRUE opinions, because that's what their supposed to DO. You don't have to follow their opinions/tips if you don't want to. Don't have any right? you requested, that gave them the right to correct you.

Anonymous asked: There was an ask on here from a person who said they don't get why people ship male/male in fics on AFF since they assumed people would like it if these guys were our boyfriends. I'm not offended but i'd like to say not all of us want that? I like them for their personalities and how they interact or would interact with each other. It's all in the name of fun and for me personally, while it might be nice if they were, I don't want any of them to seriously be my boyfriend .

Anonymous asked: Reply to:"If you don’t get comments it’s because you suck. Accept it and improve. Don’t guilt us readers because it doesn’t work." How the hell are writers suppose to know that they need to improve their story if nobody would say so in the comments?

Anonymous asked: This one chick confessed about having 500+ subs and only 10 comments on every update. You should be grateful for that. Dude I have 900+ subs and I consider myself lucky if I get more than 3 comments an update.

Many popular AFF authors nowadays are losing their touch. They can’t write for shit, and their stories are just so predictable. There are so many talented and unique authors in AFF, but they barely have an popularity, which makes me sad and sympathetic towards them.
